Overview
Joan’s Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that directly sponsors Our Legacy Group Home, a youth-centered, trauma-informed residential program in Cleveland, Ohio. We serve youth ages 12–18 who are experiencing homelessness, family separation, or involvement in the foster care or juvenile justice systems.
Our mission is to provide safe, stable housing and a supportive environment where young people can heal, grow, and prepare for independent adulthood. Through individualized care plans, mental health support, education advocacy, life skills training, and community engagement, we empower each resident to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.

Services Provided
At Joan’s Home, we offer a wide range of supportive services designed to nurture the whole person and prepare youth for successful, independent living. Our programs are trauma-informed, youth-centered, and tailored to meet each resident’s unique needs.
Every service at Joan’s Home is designed to uplift, empower, and equip our youth with the tools they need to build a better future.
Our licensed specialists will conduct an intake exam and use an inquiry form to create a personalized plan of action that will be specifically tailored to each individual.
We cover a Variety of services but typically:
- Educational Support Tutoring, school re-engagement, and academic advocacy to help youth thrive in the classroom.
- Mental Health Services Access to therapy, emotional support, and trauma-informed care through licensed professionals and community partnerships. Group and individual therapy and counseling sessions will be available
- STEM Enrichment Activities Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math programs to build critical thinking and future career skills.
- 24/7 access to an on-call nurse
- Transportation To and from appointments, school and interviews
- Continuing Education Assistance Support with GED preparation, college applications, financial aid navigation, and vocational training access.
- Career Readiness Resume writing workshops, mock interviews, job search coaching, and soft skills development to prepare for the workforce.
- Resource center Providing WiFi & computers for use for homework and job readiness activities
- Community Volunteer Opportunities Engagement in local service projects to promote empathy, leadership, and social responsibility.
